Meet Your Running Coaches

Led by Dr. Matt and Dr. Rachelle, the strength trainers at Alpha Project Phyzio are experienced and knowledgable in getting runners stronger and performing better without injury.

Dr. Matt Silver is a running coach, author of “Built to Run”, physical therapist, and founder of Alpha Project Phyzio based in Gaithersburg MD, with locations in Frederick and Columbia.

Believing his competitive running days were behind him, he dove into studying running injuries and physical therapy, quickly noticing how often runners were given generic advice or told to stop running altogether.

Now, he's on a mission to change that—helping runners uncover the root causes of their pain, improve movement quality, and return to running stronger than ever.

Patient Successes

“Hi Dr. Matt, I wanted to let you know I had a great run yesterday, ran 10 miles with no calf pain at all. And just felt strong overall. Feeling great with your workouts!!”

-Lorie

“Today I ran 5 miles before our shorter 30 mile bike then hit the gym. Left knee has calmed down while biking and in the gym. Back was okay despite 5 hours on a bike most days. Thanks for your coaching. I felt running the miles that I was just solid, stronger than perhaps I was before.”
